Congress Associates Plays Pivotal Role in Revington Project
When plans were announced for The Revington, a new 228-unit residential apartment building with ground-floor retail space in Worcester, MA, Congress Associates was brought on board early as the independent sales rep firm for the major roofing portion of the project. Working closely with Cube3 Architects and the building owner, Congress Associates provided recommendations and support for the intent of the design, the project-specific criteria to meet the terms of the warranty, and the seasonality. The choice of materials plays a significant role in what products can be used due to the time of year.
As the independent sales rep firm for GAF in the region, Congress Associates was involved from the beginning, collaborating with the design team on the roof assembly, wind uplift pressures, and proper specification of GAF’s TPO roofing system. They provided assistance in ensuring the right TPO products were specified, including GAF’s EverGuard SA TPO self-adhered membrane, EnergyGuard tapered polyiso insulation, DensDeck Prime cover board, and EverGuard EZ Fascia edge metal.
Throughout the multi-season installation, Congress Associates provided ongoing support to Capeway Roofing, assisting with any technical questions and coordinating with GAF’s Technical Services team. They conducted multiple site visits during key phases of the roof installation to inspect work and provide feedback. As an independent sales rep firm for GAF, Congress Associates leveraged their extensive knowledge of GAF roofing systems and strong working relationships with the contractor to help ensure a successful roofing project from specification to completion. Their proactive involvement and technical expertise were pivotal in the large, complex roofing project involving multiple roof assemblies and weather-related challenges.
